Founder · Breast Cancer Warrior · Woman of Faith
My journey began in March 2022, when a routine annual visit led to a diagnosis of Grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma. Initially, I was told my breast cancer was Stage III. My cancer was estrogen- and progesterone-receptor positive, with a Ki-67 proliferation index of 98%. Following surgery and final pathology, it was reclassified as Stage IIA, with no cancer found in the three sentinel lymph nodes examined. I went through four rounds of chemotherapy, a hysterectomy, and breast reconstruction. On August 12, 2022, I rang the chemotherapy bell. What I endured strengthened my faith and gave me a purpose bigger than myself.
After my very first chemotherapy treatment, my hair had not fallen out. But I decided I would not sit around waiting for chemotherapy to make that choice for me. I went home and shaved my own head.
That decision started as taking control of my journey. Then I fell in love with my bald head. I still proudly wear my head bald because I genuinely love it. I learned that my beauty was never in my hair. I was still beautiful, still powerful, and still me.
That is where the name Bald Cutie comes from. To me, it means choosing confidence, celebrating beauty beyond hair, and knowing that no diagnosis can take away your femininity, identity, or worth.
I started this foundation to educate, support, and empower women experiencing treatment-related hair loss from any cancer diagnosis. Through care packages, encouragement, and community outreach, I want women to know they do not have to fight alone.
Faith over fear, all my life. A warrior never fights alone.
